API Transaction Types
There are 2 types of API transactions:
- Look-up transaction, which have no fees and do not modify the blockchain
- Packed and signed transactions, which need to be signed by the user’s private key and in most cases carry a fee
When the API reference describes packed and signed transaction you will see the SIGNED section which is the actual end point definition and also CONTENT section which defined the model of the object that needs to be constructed before it’s packed and signed.
Packing and signing transactions
SIGNED API transactions need to be packed and signed using user’s private key. Read about it here.
